Windows & Doors Before & After in Long Beach, CA
Photos tell the truth faster than any spec sheet. Below are real project types we handle across Long Beach, from Belmont Shore bungalows to Bluff Park condos. Every one started with a homeowner frustrated by drafts, fogged glass, warped frames, or a door that no longer closed square. What you’ll see here is the pattern we’ve run since 2001: a written price before work starts, a clean install, and a finished opening that works like it should.
Recent Transformations
Aluminum-to-Vinyl Window Replacement in a 1960s Rancho Estates Home
[Photo placeholder: Single-hung aluminum window with heavy oxidation and cracked weatherstripping, before and after replacement with white vinyl double-hung]
The original frames had corroded to the point where two windows would not stay open without a block of wood. We pulled every unit, replaced them with new vinyl double-hungs, and rebuilt the interior trim in primed wood. The homeowner’s summer electric bill dropped noticeably the first month, and the front rooms no longer rattle when a truck passes down Palo Verde Avenue.
Coastal Fog and Door Warp: Exterior Door Replacement in Belmont Shore
[Photo placeholder: Wood front door with visible warp at the top corner and daylight showing at the sill, replaced with a Therma-Tru fiberglass entry door]
The old solid wood door had spent two decades absorbing marine air a block off Ocean Boulevard. The top corner had curled enough to see daylight, and the deadbolt would only throw if you leaned a shoulder into the door. We set a new fiberglass entry door with a rot-proof sill and adjusted the strike so the lock engages with one finger. The door is rated for coastal exposure and won’t move with the fog again.
Fogged-Glass Patio Door Swap in a Bluff Park Condo
[Photo placeholder: Sliding patio door with visible condensation trapped between panes, replaced with a new ES Windows sliding door]
Seal failure between the panes left view of the water permanently clouded. Replacing the glass alone would have cost nearly as much as a new unit, so we swapped the entire slider with a new energy-efficient door from ES Windows. The track went from jamming to one-hand operation. Before-and-after photos were sent to the homeowner the day of install, per the Relay Standard, along with a digital invoice.
Safety-Glass Upgrade for a Garden-Level Wall in Los Altos
[Photo placeholder: Three wide fixed windows with dated single-pane glass and worn wood trim, replaced with impact-rated picture windows]
A wall of glass facing a small backyard was original to a 1970s build: single pane, no gas fill, and impossible to clean without risking a ladder fall. We set three new fixed picture windows with impact-rated glass, built to resist wind-borne debris without shattering. The glass meets current code for the location, and the interior got clean painted casing that actually matches the room.
Side Door Replacement and Frame Repair in Bixby Knolls
[Photo placeholder: Side door with rotted bottom corner and cracked threshold, replaced with a new Therma-Tru door and composite sill]
The side door off a laundry room had held rainwater for years. The bottom rail was soft, the threshold crumbled under foot, and the door no longer latched without a hard slam. We cut out the damaged frame section, replaced it with new wood, and hung a new Therma-Tru door with a composite sill that water can’t rot. The project carried our 365-Day Done Right Promise, in writing, parts and labor for a full year.
Drafty Window Bank Replacement in a Naples Island Waterfront Home
[Photo placeholder: Bank of four aluminum windows with broken latches and failing seals, replaced with four new vinyl windows]
Sitting over the water means every seal fails faster than inland. We replaced four windows that had lost their thermal seal and allowed salt air straight into the living room. The new units carry gas-filled glass and fresh flashing to keep the salt-driven moisture out. The homeowner can now open every window from the inside without dealing with a seized latch.
